Island 5: Volcano

The Volcano closes the five-island run with the heaviest fights in the game: the routine Goblin Shark, the setup battle against the ordinary Bowhead Whale, and the Mutated Bowhead Whale (Magma Whale) finale triggered by throwing the whale corpse into the crater. A military base area supplies the end-game gear.

The Scientific Lure covers the deep-sea roster — Blobfish, Oarfish, Anglerfish, Stonefish and Superdwarf Fish — plus the one Standard Lure exception, the Angelfish. The sources note the Volcano roster is still expanding as the game receives official updates.

Buy the Scientific Lure locally and stock treatments before starting any battle — they can be stockpiled at the military base. The source author's recommended finale loadout is the Assault Rifle with all upgrade modules.

Both whale battles punish anyone standing under the landing point — run to the extreme edge of the arena when the whale is airborne — and both are flagged as mandatory-healing fights. Never let the white patience bar run dry; a fleeing boss means re-earning the bait from scratch.

Cooperate with the scientist on the island: catch 5 local fish with the Scientific Lure and hand them over to receive the Fish Bucket, then use it to summon the ordinary Bowhead Whale. Do not sell the corpse — carry it into the volcano and throw it into the crater to trigger the final battle against the Mutated Bowhead Whale. Hand the fin to the Hazmat NPC afterwards to complete the game.

💡 Stay inside the volcano battle area for the finale — dragging the fight toward the ship can crash the battle, and the water is not a safe zone either.
