How to Unlock
The final battle. Throw the ordinary Bowhead Whale corpse into the volcano crater on Island 5 to summon the Mutated Bowhead Whale (also called the Magma Whale).
Special Bait
How to Get the Bait: The dead ordinary Bowhead Whale from the preliminary battle — keep the corpse and throw it into the volcano. Selling it after completing the previous stage is the documented way to lock yourself out.
Boss Mechanics
Lava Spit
The mutant version spits lava: contact results in death, and each lava pool behaves as a temporary no-go zone for the rest of the fight.
Heavier Slam Discipline
Like the ordinary whale it punishes anyone under the landing point, but it is larger and sturdier. After landing it displaces — the shove specifically targets players who sprint straight in to output.
Arena Lock
Stay within the volcano battle area. Dragging the fight out toward the ship might crash the battle, and the water is not a safe zone either.

Preparation
Stock treatments before starting the battle (they can be stockpiled at the military base) and buy the Assault Rifle with all upgrade modules — a recommended optimal loadout.
Step-by-Step
- Stay inside the volcano battle area for the whole fight.
- When the whale is airborne, run to the extreme of the field — never stand under the landing point.
- After it lands, leave space for the corpse before returning in; do not rush straight in.
- Keep moving, shoot continuously and treat immediately upon injury.
- Treat every lava pool as a permanent hazard for the rest of the attempt.
After the Kill
Hand the fin to the Hazmat NPC to receive the final reward and complete the game.
Rewards
- Final reward and game completion (fin handed to the Hazmat NPC)
Co-op Tips: In co-op, dividing roles makes the fight far easier. Solo players can trap it against buildings or the casino pillars.
