Red Snapper Location & How to Catch

The Red Snapper is an Island 4 creature. Regular creatures are not strictly bound to one island — the correct lure plus rod opens the pool, and Island 4 is where that pool is recommended to be fished.

Use the Fishing Rod with Professional Lure. The Red Snapper shares the Professional Lure pool with other Island 4 regulars.

Like every creature in the game, the Red Snapper has a rare Drip variant. Drip creatures are named in rainbow text instead of white — impossible to miss once one is on the line — and they come out of exactly the same pool: the same lure, the same rod, the same waters.

• Community reports put the Drip spawn chance for regular creatures at roughly 10% (unofficial).
• The catch only counts toward achievements if you kill the Drip creature — reeling it in alive does not.
